Little Brother Sam Winchester
TO MISHA, WITH LOVE: A SUPERNATURAL FANFAMILY PROJECT
With the announcement that Misha Collins will not be featured in Supernatural’s 200th episode, a supposed “love letter” to the fans, a lot of us were very hurt that Castiel would not be in the episode since he is such a huge part of what fans love about the show.
Misha (and Cas, by extension) is, for many of the fans, the heart of Supernatural, and we feel he deserves more appreciation than to be left out of such a big episode of a show he’s been so integral to for seven years. This project is to show Misha that we love and appreciate him, because he deserves to see just how much he is valued.
How is this going to happen?
The blog loveletterstomisha will serve as a collection place for letters, videos, art, graphics - anything a fan desires to make - to show Misha just how much he’s loved by the fans. Let’s give our Overlord the love he deserves as one of the most important cast members of Supernatural! The plan is to send this to Misha the day before the 200th so that he knows just how much he’s loved before the episode airs.
How can I contribute?
Please visit the blog and check out the FAQ and about pages for ways you can contribute to the project and show Misha how much you love him, and reblog this post to spread the word about the project! If you don’t feel your questions are sufficiently answered, feel free to send me an ask! And please follow the blog for updates as we get closer to the big reveal! :)
A note: It is very important that you don’t try to call Misha’s attention to the project yet - the goal is to share it with him the day prior to the 200th episode, when we have amassed a large collection of letters, videos, etc.
So how *will* it be launched?
On the day prior to the 200th episode, November 3, 2014, tweet it out! Tweet Misha linking him to the project, Facebook him the link, and let’s get the hashtag #loveletterstomisha trending on Twitter, so he can find this page! Misha’s a large presence on social media, so the more it’s out there the more likely he is to find it! (However, please don’t tweet/share/Facebook anything that bashes him, his colleagues, or anyone else in any way - this is a project about love, and we want to focus on that! Please don’t take away from the positivity by spreading hate.)
Let’s show Misha just how much we love him!
The angels could still recall September 18, 2008 as if it had happened the day previous. Six years later and they could still remember their brother’s voice ringing loudly through their minds
Dean Winchester is saved.
How could they forget? How could they forget when they had never heard Castiel’s voice sound so joyous and proud. Their brother had been a part of the universe for as long as they could remember, but never once had Castiel sounded so happy. When Dean Winchester had gone to Hell, angel after angel had been offered the job to save the Righteous Man, but every angel passed up the job. No one wanted to risk their lives to save a man that did not seem worthy of saving.
Castiel rose up and gladly adorned the Holy armor, unsheathed a sword made of fire and branded with Enochian sigils, and filled his palms with God’s Grace, ready to tear up demon after demon to reach Dean in time. The world was on fire and he had to save the man who would change this. HIs brothers and sisters snorted and scoffed him, rolling their eyes, and whispering how Castiel was too ambitious, and he would not be able to complete this task. They did not want to comfort their younger brother when he returned with his head hung in shame.
Would they lock him up with Gadreel? Would they take away his wings? Would he Fall from Grace, burning into the atmosphere? They were not sure they wanted to know.
They were not prepared for what did happen.
When Castiel entered Hell, the entire cosmos knew. The world trembled in fear as Castiel’s power and voice screamed across Hell and demons ran in fear, quaking with the knowledge of their inevitable deaths. They watched in awe as he reached out his hand and touched the blackened mess of Dean Winchester. In that moment, they could have sworn that Castiel was truly God - but they would never whisper that aloud for that would be sacrilege.
The blackness fell away and out of Hell came a broken and bloody soul, slowly stitching together via the power of Castiel’s sheer will. When Dean’s soul healed, Castiel placed it back into his body, and waited, returning to Heaven to call out the famous words:
Dean Winchester is saved.
September 18th would forever be remembered as the day their brother, the angel they did not have faith in, the angel they believed would fail, saved the Righteous Man. Now, September 18th, 2014 marks a new era for their brother. There are no more joyous calls, no more cries of happiness; there is no talk of Dean Winchester in Heaven, and no one mentions him or even utters his name in fear of Castiel hearing.
But they remember, they remember the scream that was heard across the world. Dean Winchester is dead.
